PHATO Productions came about in
1999 when Patrick Otten (the owner) graduated from high school and pursued his love for design. Before we go any further though, let's get
something out of the way. You're probably wondering what is with the weird name and how the heck do you say it. Well that's simple, you pronounce it like "fat-oh."
The way the name came about was actually from friends of Patrick's. In high school they nicknamed him Phat. So Patrick just took this nickname and added
his last name initial to it, hence, "PHATO".After High School, Patrick went onto a couple of different community colleges and then headed to a four year private college in Santa Monica, CA. While at American Intercontinental University, Patrick studied photography, graphic design, theory, fine art, web design, 3D animation and many other forms of visual communications. Patrick was top in his class and many times would help teach the classes as his own experience shot him ahead of the teachers knowledge. During the time Patrick was in college, he continued to work on the growth of his baby, PHATO Productions. He filmed and photographed weddings, filmed plays, musicals and fine arts events, built many websites and honed his skill as a web application developer. Patrick graduated from American Intercontinental University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Since 2003 Patrick has worked as a marketing manager / design director for a national chain real estate company. He has developed their website and intranet, built a video department from the ground up and dealt with many clients and customer service issues. During this time PHATO Productions continued to grow into what it is today, a full service design firm. If you need something done, we can do it for you.
Patrick
currently resides in Quail Valley, CA with his beautiful wife Vanessa and their 4 children (their dogs). Patrick loves to hang out with his wife,
ride his Yamaha R6, compose music and do what he loves most, DESIGN! PHATO Productions is Patrick's
